LaPorte County, IN. – Three people were injured in a five-vehicle crash on Tuesday evening in LaPorte County.
According to the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at U.S. 30 and State Road 39 at around 5 p.m.
Two trucks and an SUV stopped for a traffic signal when a third commercial motor vehicle crashed into the rear of a stopped SUV. The SUV was forced off the roadway. A fourth truck struck the rear of the crashed vehicles.
Three people were taken to the hospital with varying injuries.
