LaPorte County, IN. – A 44-year-old Laporte resident was killed in a crash involving an ambulance on Saturday morning in Laporte County.
According to local police, the crash happened on Rose Street near Adams Street at around 7 a.m.
A southbound vehicle driven by a 44-year-old veered across the center line and collided with an ambulance traveling northbound on Rose Street.
The 44-year-old was transported to Northwest Health where they later succumbed to their injuries.
A medical technician sustained minor injuries. There was no patient in the ambulance at the time of the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
