Lake County, IN. – One person was injured in a fiery crash on Sunday morning in Lake County.
According to Indiana State Police, the accident happened on the Indiana Toll Road near mile marker 21 at around 4:30 a.m.
A 44-year-old woman was driving a Cadillac sedan westbound on the eastbound lanes when she collided head-on with a Chevrolet Impala driven by a 27-year-old man.
Both vehicles caught on fire after the crash.
The man was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The woman was taken to Lake County Jail on several charges, including OWI Endangerment.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
