The driver of the GMC was extricated and airlifted to UMC with critical injuries.

Lake County, IN. – One person was injured in a car crash on Tuesday morning in Lake County.
According to the Indiana State Police, the accident occurred on the Borman Expressway near the Burr Street exit.
A GMC Yukon driver was travelling west on Interstate 80-94 and passing other vehicles on the right shoulder when they slammed into the back of a stalled semi tractor-trailer at a high rate of speed.
The driver of the GMC was extricated and airlifted to UMC with critical injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
