Troopers said that a 24-year-old man was driving a pickup truck east on I-10 while a sedan and another pickup truck were halted for traffic. The 24-year-old man’s truck rear-ended the sedan and caused the sedan to crash into the other pickup truck.
Baldwin, FL. – A 33-year-old woman from Lake City was killed and a 43-year-old man from Lake City was severely hurt after a traffic collision on Sunday evening in Baldwin, Duval County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened a while before 6:45 p.m. on March 15, on Interstate 10.
Troopers said that a 24-year-old man was driving a pickup truck east on I-10 while a sedan and another pickup truck were halted for traffic. The 24-year-old man’s truck rear-ended the sedan and caused the sedan to crash into the other pickup truck.
The 24-year-old’s pickup truck struck the guardrail before leaving the left side of the other pickup truck following the collision.
The sedan driver, a 33-year-old Lake City woman, was declared dead at the scene. Her 43-year-old passenger sustained severe injuries due to the crash.
The 24-year-old driver sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident.
The driver and passenger of the second pickup truck were not hurt in the crash.
