Tippecanoe County, IN. – A 16-year-old girl was severely injured in a head-on collision on Thursday morning in Tippecanoe County.

According to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened on East County Road 800 South near Walnut Ridge Road at around 7:11 a.m.

A Tacoma pickup was traveling westbound on CR 800 South when the driver lost control on the icy road.

The vehicle spun into the path of an eastbound Jeep Wrangler driven by a 17-year-old man, resulting in a collision

A 16-year-old girl who was a passenger in the pickup truck was extricated from the vehicle and was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital with serious injuries.

The Jeep driver and his 13-year-old sister were treated at the scene.
