The bus driver was treated for minor injuries

Kokomo, IN. – A construction worker died after being struck by a bus on Monday afternoon in Kokomo.
According to the Indiana State Police, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. at State Road 22 and County Road 400 East.
A 35-year-old woman from Kokomo was driving a school bus northbound on County Road 400 East, approaching the intersection.
At the same time, a 31-year-old Logansport man was directing traffic at a construction zone.
A gray 2008 Dodge Ram was traveling eastbound on State Road 22, approaching County Road 400 East, and struck the school bus on the driver’s side, which caused the bus to hit a construction worker.
The construction worker was killed in the accident.
The bus driver was treated for minor injuries.
None of the eight children who were on the bus, which was from the Northwestern School Corporation in Howard County, was injured.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
