Klamath County, OR. – One person was killed and another was injured in a car crash in Klamath County on Tuesday evening, according to Oregon State Police.
The crash occurred on Highway 97 near milepost 236 in the Chiloquin area at around 7:49 p.m.
Preliminary reports indicate a red Dodge Ram towing a trailer, operated by a Grants Pass woman in her 70s, crossed into the southbound lane for an unknown reason and collided head-on with a southbound gray Ford F550 pulling a trailer and forklift, driven by a man from Walla Walla, WA.
One person was killed in the accident.
Another person was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
Oregon State Police were assisted by the Oregon Department of Transportation in managing the area and traffic.
