Jackson County, OR – A woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident in Jackson County, according to the Oregon State Police.
The fatal accident happened around 2:05 p.m. on August 19 on Highway 99 near milepost 8.
Police said Katrina Ann Knight, 59, of Grants Pass, was driving a Ford Ranger southbound on the highway when she left the roadway, for unknown reasons, and struck a utility pole.
Knight was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident closed the highway for about an hour.
The police are investigating the accident.
