Police said Channels was heading southbound in a blue Ford Taurus when, for unknown reason, he crossed over the center line and into the northbound lane and crashed into a white Ram 2500.

Lincoln County, OR.- 23-year-old Jonathan Joseph Channels of Waldport was killed and two others injured following a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon in Lincoln County.
According to the Oregon State Police, the accident happened at around 3:55 p.m. June 4, on Highway 101 near Seal Rock.
Police said Channels was heading southbound in a blue Ford Taurus when, for unknown reason, he crossed over the center line and into the northbound lane and crashed into a white Ram 2500.
Channels was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The Ram driver, 54-year-old Kevin Michael Nelsen of Santa Rosa, California, and his passenger Nicholas Nelsen (38) of Santa Rosa, California sustained minor injuries. They were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Traffic delays were experienced in the area for around four hours following the crash.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Oregon Department of Transportation, Seal Rock Fire Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and PacWest Ambulance.
