Union County, OR – A person was killed on Wednesday in a car accident in Union County, according to the police.
The fatal accident occurred around 4:22 p.m. on August 27 on Interstate 84 near milepost 272.
Police said a white Ford F350 pickup was traveling westbound on the interstate when it left the roadway, for an unknown reason, crashed into a tree and landed at the bottom of a creek bed.
The pickup truck driver, Jejo Haes, 28, of La Grande, died at the scene.
No other details were provided.
The police are investigating the accident.
