Linn County, OR. – 72-year-old Jan Dwight McSilvers of Springfield has been identified as the person killed in a single vehicle accident on Wednesday in Linn County, according to the Oregon State Police.
The accident happened at 10:41 a.m. on August 13, on Highway 126, near milepost 0.
Police said McSilvers was heading eastbound in a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve and rode off the roadway and crashed. The motorcycle rolled over on McSilvers following the crash.
McSilvers was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Traffic delays were experienced in the area following the accident.
The Black Butte EMS and ODOT assisted the OSP at the scene.
