The deadly accident occurred at about 6:00 a.m. on July 10 on Southwest Williston Road near the Interstate 75 on-ramp.
Gainesville, FL – Two children were killed early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle accident that also left their mother critically injured in Gainesville, according to the police.
The deadly accident occurred at about 6:00 a.m. on July 10 on Southwest Williston Road near the Interstate 75 on-ramp.
Police said the accident involved a car and an electrician’s van. Witnesses said the van ran a red light and crashed into the car. The children in the car were not in their car seats.
The 6-month-old and the 22-month-old in the car were killed in the accident. Their 26-year-old mother was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the van was also taken to the hospital where he was treated and later released.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
