Indianapolis, IN. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Friday morning in Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened in the 500 block of South Girls School Road at around 12:30 a.m.
A woman was walking northbound on the east side of North Girls School Road and was struck by a vehicle.
The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver fled the scene after the crash, but the vehicle was later found at the 500 block of Beachway Drive. The driver was yet to be located.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
