Indianapolis, IN. – One person was killed in a high-speed crash on Friday morning in Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened in the 1600 block of East Washington Street near South State Avenue at around 12:30 a.m.
A pickup truck reportedly ignored stop signs while traveling at a high rate of speed and was pursued by an officer after failing to stop.
A short time later, the suspect crashed into a large sign.
One male occupant of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
