According to the police, the crash happened at the intersection of North Sherman Drive and East Market at around 2 a.m.
A Camaro driven by a 19-year-old woman traveling northbound on Sherman Drive when it collided head-on with a Kia Forte.
The driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Camaro was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The 19-year-old woman was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
