Indianapolis, IN. – A woman was injured in a collision involving an Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) vehicle on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of 38th Street and Georgetown Road.
Two IFD vehicles were traveling east toward a working fire on Voight Drive when the lead vehicle was struck by a woman driving a Toyota Camry.
The collision caused the emergency vehicle to spin and crash into the windshield of a nearby Ford Fusion.
The woman was transported to Eskenazi Hospital with minor injuries.
The 18-year-old male driver of the Fusion was not injured.
The IFD officer driving the emergency vehicle was checked and released after a field sobriety test.
