The Camry driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the Jetta driver sustained minor injuries.

Tucson, AZ. – A child was killed in a three-vehicle collision on Friday evening in Tucson, according to the police.

The fatal collision happened at about 7:45 p.m. in the area of Golf Links and Craycroft.

Police said a 27-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound when she crossed the three lanes, went over the raised median, entered the westbound lanes and crashed into a Toyota Camry.

The Camry then struck a Volkswagen Jetta.

The Corolla driver and her four children, a 4-year-old boy, two 8-year-old boys and a 2-year-old boy, were taken to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Sadly, the 4-year-old boy later died.

Some of the children might not have been properly secured in car seats or wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

The Camry driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the Jetta driver sustained minor injuries.

Police believe the Corolla driver was impaired at the time of the accident.

Police are investigating the accident.
