Scott County, IN. – A six-year-old girl was killed in a car accident that left multiple people injured in Scott County on Tuesday evening.

According to the Indiana State Police, the accident happened at the intersection of State Road 256 and U.S. 31 at around 8:42 p.m.

A white Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on SR256 and was making a turn at the intersection and was hit by a Chrysler 300 traveling northbound on U.S. 31.

The driver and passenger of the Camry were both taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the Chrysler, 23-year-old Dorothy Snell of Hanover, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The front passenger was also transported to hospital with unknown injuries.

A 2-year-old and a 6-year-old in the rear passenger seats of the Chrysler were taken to hospital.

Sadly, the 6-year-old died while receiving treatment.
