A woman driving the white sedan was transported to Northlake Hospital, where she later died.
Lake County, IN. – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision near Gary on Tuesday morning.
According to the Indiana State Police, the accident happened around 10:45 a.m. on Interstate 80 near the Burr Street interchange.
A white sedan was reportedly changing lanes in front of an eastbound semi-truck and was struck. The impact of the collision caused the sedan to spin and crash into a concrete barrier before it bounced back and into the lanes and was hit by another sedan and a second semi.
A 21-year-old woman driving the white sedan was transported to Northlake Hospital in Gary, where she later died.
More details about the accident were not released.
