According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of S. Hanna Street and McKee Street at around 3:00 a.m.
A vehicle went off the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a tree.
The driver was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A passenger sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
