Fort Wayne, IN. – Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon in Fort Wayne.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, the accident happened on I-69 near mile marker 295 at around 1 p.m.

A semi-truck traveling southbound rear-ended a passenger car that was stopped in traffic.

The first semi-truck then continued and struck the rear of another passenger car. The semi-truck then rear-ended a second semi-truck, causing it to rear-end a third passenger vehicle, which was forced southbound and rear-ended a third semi-truck.

A 15-year-old boy and a 70-year-old man succumbed to their injuries.

The driver of the first semi was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
