Police said a trooper was completing investigating an earlier collision that happened at about 5:15 a.m. when his vehicle was hit by an SUV operated by 36-year-old Deondrez White of Pensacola.

Escambia County, FL. – A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was injured following an early Sunday morning crash in Pensacola.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 6:21 a.m. August 17 on Highway 29, just south of West Roberts Road.
Police said a 27-year-old male trooper was completing investigation of an earlier collision that happened at about 5:15 a.m. when his vehicle was hit by an SUV operated by 36-year-old Deondrez White of Pensacola.
The trooper and the White suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital.
White was charged with driving with a suspended license as a habitual offender under Florida Statute 322.34(5). He was booked into the Escambia County Jail, with bond set at $7,500.
