According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened on I-80 near mile marker 56 at around 4:45 a.m.
A pickup truck was traveling westbound in an eastbound travel lane when it crashed into a sedan traveling eastbound.
A passenger in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of the pickup truck and sedan were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A juvenile passenger in the sedan was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The police suspect impairment as a factor in the crash.
