Tucson, AZ. – The 81-year-old woman who was injured last Tuesday after being struck by a car in Tucson has died, according to the police.

The accident happened on September 23, at the intersection of North Riverside Drive and West Sonora Street.

Police said the woman was trying to cross Riverside Drive, in a presumed unmarked crosswalk, when she was struck by a vehicle.

She was taken to the hospital with critical injuries where she died on September 28.

The driver of the vehicle was not impaired at the time of the accident.

Police are investigating the accident.
