Stoffel was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail on a charge of vehicular homicide.
Spokane Valley, WA. – A person was killed Thursday night in a motorcycle accident in Spokane Valley, according to the deputies.
The deadly accident happened around 9:40 p.m. on August 28 at the intersection of East Sprague Avenue and Custer Road.
Deputies said Darla M. Stoffel, 61, was driving a Ford Mustang eastbound on Sprague Avenue and was turning northbound into a parking lot when she crossed into the westbound lanes and was struck by a westbound motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
Deputies observed signs of cannabis use in the Mustang. Stoffel was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail on a charge of vehicular homicide.
The accident remains under investigation.
