Sparks, NV. – Two people were killed in a car crash on Thursday afternoon in Sparks.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Pyramid Highway near Disc Drive.
A pickup truck and a Nissan were traveling north on Pyramid Way when they collided in unclear circumstances.
The impact sent the Nissan into the southbound lanes, where it crashed into a southbound Honda.
The drivers of the Nissan and the Honda died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup reportedly fled the scene but was later located and taken into custody.
More details about the accident were not released. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
