The pickup truck driver was killed in the accident

Shipshewana, IN. – A 73-year-old man was killed in a collision involving an intoxicated driver on Saturday afternoon in Shipshewana, LaGrange County.
According to the Indiana State Police, the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on County Road 1000 West near State Road 120.
A 26-year-old Elkhart man was driving a black 2016 GMC SUV northbound when he collided head-on with a southbound maroon 1988 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by the 73-year-old Shipshewana man.
The pickup truck driver was killed in the accident.
The SUV driver was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
