According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened around 11 a.m. near Tully Avenue and Hidden Desert Way.
A van was traveling west when it struck a 12-year-old boy on an electric scooter.
The boy was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
