Knox County, IN. – A man was killed in a Tuesday afternoon rollover accident in Knox County.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 12:14 p.m. on U.S. 41 South near Schenk Drive.
A semi-truck and trailer loaded with coal was traveling southbound when it crossed the median and both northbound lanes of U.S. 41 before striking an embankment and overturning in a nearby cornfield.
The driver, a 48-year-old man from West Salem, Illinois, was pronounced dead at the scene.
