Gary, IN. – A woman died in a car crash early Sunday morning in Gary.
According to police, the accident happened around 1:56 a.m. on the Borman Expressway near Cline Avenue.
Officers who responded to the incident located a heavily damaged and burned husk of a car off the road near a support column for a bridge.
The 23-year-old Chicago woman in the car was killed in the accident.
The Lake County, Indiana, Coroner’s office said the woman succumbed to multiple blunt-force and burn injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
