A 71-year-old woman from Downs was killed in the accident
Bloomington, IL. – A woman was killed in a head-on collision in Bloomington on Saturday afternoon.
According to Illinois State Police, the accident happened around 3 p.m. on U.S. Route 150 near N 2000 East Road.
A car was traveling eastbound on 150 and hit another car in the westbound lane.
A 71-year-old woman from Downs was killed in the accident.
The driver of the second vehicle attempted to run away from the scene but was later located and taken into custody. He was then taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
