Polk County, OR — One person, identified as Erika Margit Smith, 59, of Dallas, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 194 in Polk County.

According to Oregon State Police, Dylan Wyatt Branch, 34, of Monmouth, was driving a farming swather westbound on Highway 194 when a white Toyota 4Runner, heading eastbound on 194 crashed into the swather’s boom
The impact caused the 4Runner to leave the roadway, coming to rest in the trees on the north shoulder.
The driver of the 4Runner, later identified as Erika Smith, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Branch was not injured in the incident
The highway was closed for about four hours during investigation.
