Elko County, NV. – A 67-year-old was injured in an ATV accident last week Friday in Elko County.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash happened on State Route 225 near mile marker 83 at around 7:15 p.m.
A white Toyota Camry was heading northbound on SR-225 in the southbound travel lane when a green Polaris Sportsman ATV traveling southbound braked to avoid a collision.
The ATV ran off the roadway and rolled over.
The 67-year-old ATV rider was taken to the hospital, where he died.
The driver of a Toyota Camry fled the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
