Elkhart County, IN. – A 47-year-old moped rider was injured in a crash on Sunday morning in Elkhart County.
According to local police, the accident happened at the intersection of County Road 17 and County Road 18 at around 1 a.m.
A moped was traveling northbound on CR 17 when it drove through a red light and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old man.
The 47-year-old man was transported to the hospital with head trauma for treatment.
The 24-year-old driver of the car was not injured in the crash.
The moped rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
