Eugene, OR – The bicyclist who was severely injured earlier this month after being struck by a car in Eugene has died, according to the police.
Elizabeth Cardenas Figueroa, 21, died on Monday August 18.
The accident happened on August 8 near East 8th Avenue and Hilyard Street.
Police said Figueroa was on a bicycle when she was struck by a car. She was rushed to the hospital with a traumatic brain injury and multiple broken bones. She later died at the hospital.
Figueroa was a University of Oregon student from Mexico.
