Police said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near Bartonville Grade School for unknown reasons.
Bartonville, IL. – The Illinois State Police is investigating a pedestrian accident that killed an elderly man on Tuesday afternoon near Bartonville Grade School in Bartonville.
According to the Peoria County Coroner’ Office, the accident happened in the 300 block of Keller Street.
Police said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near Bartonville Grade School for unknown reasons.
The man was rushed to OSF HealthCare St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria where he was declared dead in the trauma room.
The Bartonville School District said the man is not associated with the school.
Keller Street has been reopened by police, between East McClure to East Garfield avenues.
An investigation is ongoing.
