According to local police, the accident happened at the intersection of Wilson Street and Pinellas Trail just before 4 p.m.
A 67-year-old man was riding an electric bike southbound on Pinellas and was struck by a 2019 Ford F-250.
The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was transported to the hospital with severe injuries
The truck driver was unhurt and remained at the scene.
Officials say speed and impairment didn’t appear as the causes of the collision.
