Hollywood, FL. – A man was killed after a traffic collision early Tuesday morning in Hollywood, according to the Hollywood Police Department.
The accident happened a while after 2:50 a.m. on September 23, on State Road 7, just south of Mayo Street.
Police confirmed the man was driving in the area when they crashed into a light pole in unclear circumstances. The vehicle burst into flames after the crash.
The male driver was ejected from his vehicle and was declared dead at the crash site.
The Florida Power & Light were called to the area to assess the structural integrity of the damaged pole.
The incident remains under investigation.
