Chicago, IL. – A driver was injured after a traffic collision on Friday morning on the Eisenhower Expressway in Chicago.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred a while before 9:00 a.m. on eastbound I-290 near Central Avenue.
Police confirmed a school bus and an SUV crashed in unclear circumstances.
Children were onboarding the bus at the time of the collision, but no one was reported injured.
The SUV driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The left two eastbound lanes were temporarily closed following the crash.
