Morris, IL. – A driver was hospitalized after a semi-truck collision on Monday morning in Morris, Grundy County, according to the Illinois State Police.

The accident happened at around 5:16 a.m. on Interstate 80 at milepost 113, near the Route 47 exit.

Police said two semi-trucks were involved in the collision. One of the semis jackknifed while the other overturned on its side.

One driver sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

All lanes of westbound I-80 were blocked and traffic diverted off the freeway at Brisbin road following the accident. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes.

One of the semis was reportedly carrying rice at the time.
