Authorities said three people were injured following a head on accident Sunday evening on U.S. 50 in Douglas County.
Douglas County, NV.- Three people were injured following a head on accident Sunday evening in Douglas County.
The accident occurred around 7:27 p.m. on August 2 on U.S. 50 near the 10 mile marker between Glenbrook Road and State Route 28, west of the Spooner Lake Recreation Area.
Investigators said an SUV and a sedan collided head on for reasons that remain under investigation.
Two people with serious injuries were airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.
A third person was transported by ground ambulance. Authorities have not released information about the extent of that person’s injuries.
Investigators said driver impairment is suspected to have been a contributing factor in the collision.
The identities of those involved have not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
