Donald Stewart was taken to Franciscan Health Crown Point where he later died
Kouts, IN. – 59-year-old Donald Stewart was killed in a head-on collision that occurred on Wednesday evening in Kouts, Porter County.
According to the Porter County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on State Road 8 near County Road 450 E at around 4:50 p.m.
Stewart was driving a Jeep SUV westbound on SR 8 when he collided head-on with an eastbound Ford minivan that drifted into the westbound lane.
Stewart was taken to Franciscan Health Crown Point where he later died, according to Lake County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the minivan was hospitalized with unknown injuries.
The Porter County Crash Unit is investigating the accident.
