Peoria, AZ – The driver who was killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Peoria on Wednesday has been identified as 69-year-old Donald Schmitt Jr. of Peoria.

Peoria, AZ – One person is dead following an early Wednesday morning two-vehicle crash in Peoria.
The fatal collision occurred just before 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of 91st Avenue and Hearn Road, just north of Thunderbird Road.
Police said a truck and a sedan collided leaving one person dead. The victim, whose name has not been released, was declared deceased at the scene.
One other person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
91st Avenue was shut down in both directions between Desert Harbor Drive and 90th Lane.
The deadly crash remains under investigation.
