Police said a commercial car and a passenger vehicle crashed in unclear circumstances.
Romeoville, IL. – 22-year-old Derek R. Hernandez was killed after a deadly collision early Sunday morning near Romeoville, according to the Illinois State Police.
The deadly accident happened a while before 3:00 a.m. on September 7 on southbound Interstate 55 near Weber Road.
Police said a commercial car and a passenger vehicle crashed in unclear circumstances.
Two persons including Hernandez were rushed to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Hernandez was later declared dead at 4:00 a.m.
No additional information concerning this collision was provided.
