Police said Ico-Choc was driving a Nissan Altima south on the road when the Nissan crossed over and struck a Ford Edge operated by Connolly-Brunner head-on.

Stephenson County, IL. – Darcy Connolly-Brunner of Freeport, and Rolando Ico-Choc, a Guatemalan-national, have been identified as two people killed on Saturday afternoon in Stephenson County, according to the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened at around 1:16 p.m. August 9, on Illinois Route 26 between N. Oneco Road and Winslow Road, just north of Orangeville.
Police said Ico-Choc was driving a Nissan Altima south on the road when the Nissan crossed over and struck a Ford Edge operated by Connolly-Brunner head-on.
The two drivers and the only occupants in their vehicles were declared dead at the crash site.
Ico-Choc and Connolly-Brunner’s autopsy were scheduled for Tuesday.
Police said Connolly-Brunner did not show any sign of impairment and they are yet to know if Ico-Choc was impaired at the time of the accident. Toxicology tests will be conducted and results will probably take several weeks before release.
Authorities said Ico-Choc had a prior criminal record and was not believed to have a valid U.S. identification and they could not confirm where he was currently living. Ico-Choc had lived in Freeport and only a Guatemala national ID was recovered from him.
No additional information regarding this crash was provided.
An investigation is underway.
