Jackson County, OR – A driver was killed on Tuesday in a single-car accident in Jackson County, according to the Oregon State Police.

The fatal accident happened around 12:24 a.m. on August 12 on Highway 62 near milepost 32.

Police said Daniel Charles Forgey, 28, of Prospect, was driving a Chevrolet Suburban westbound when he left the roadway, for unknown reasons, struck the guardrail, and rolled over.

Forgey was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details were provided.

The police are investigating the accident.
