The driver, identified as a 60-year-old Vernonia man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Columbia County, OR. – One person was killed in a car crash in Columbia County on Monday night, according to Oregon State Police.
The crash occurred on Highway 47 near milepost 58 at around 11:42 p.m. on December 15.
Investigators said a southbound Dodge Ram left the roadway for unknown reasons, striking a utility pole and trees before coming to rest off the roadway.
The driver, identified as a 60-year-old Vernonia man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Oregon State Police are investigating the accident.
