The Subaru driver was pronounced dead at the scene

Columbia County, OR. – One person was killed and another was injured in a head-on collision in Columbia County on Monday evening, according to the police.
The fatal collision happened around 6:54 p.m. on Highway 30 near milepost 51.
A 34-year-old from Longview was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound when they crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a westbound Subaru Crosstrek driven by a 23-year-old from Astoria.
The Subaru driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chevrolet driver was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Impairment and lane safety were factors in the accident.
Police are investigating the accident.
