Clovis, NM. – Two people were killed in a fiery car crash that left a third person seriously injured on Sunday morning in Clovis.
According to the Clovis Police Department, the accident happened around 1:42 a.m. at the intersection of Grand Street and Seventh Street.
A black Cadillac was traveling eastbound on Seventh Street when it crossed over a concrete median into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a semi-truck.
Officers arriving at the scene found the Cadillac fully engulfed in flames.
Two occupants were trapped inside the front passenger compartment and were both pronounced dead at the scene.
A third occupant of the vehicle was ejected and was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center and later transferred to a hospital in Texas for further treatment.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured and evaluated on scene.
